What, you've never adored a high character depth player that helped your team win the cup? Oh yeah....

Good write up

Hopefully Kelly's leg injury doesn't slow him down at 35 years old. I like the signing from Ottawa. Should help their PK next season.

Kelly's returning home!!

900k for a year? Would have done that deal all day long. Even up to 1.75 I thought he would be an asset.

Riley Nash does not fill the void. However backes will provide the leadership.

I'm on vacation for a few more weeks and grab wifi when I can, but it's nerve racking when I come online after a few days and wonder what the don has done recently, just glad he hasn't inked kris Russell

I did see vesey meeting with Buffalo. Hoping they screw that up...

He was never able to repeat the success he had in that first full year here. I still appreciated him as a player. Best of luck to him!

Meh- Kelly was there 2 seasons ago down the stretch and they didn't make the playoffs either. Think it's time for some of the vets to move on (AND the coach) and let the kids actually play. One more fringe player out the door.

Awesome video. I'll miss him. Its hard to replace heart, but I'm sure next year's version of the B's will have plenty of room for auditions, and plenty of kids to try and fill the part.
And (frank) Pittsburgh.

another day goes by and another day where Sweeney cant make a deal with any other gm in the league. So the bruins are going in with a million centers and no legitimate defensman. cant....wait....

at least tickets will be easier to get this season.

thats a nice montage, sadly he wasnt that player for the last few years, but it reminds me of the "everyone has each others back" the bruins used to have. Kelly standing up for Looch when he gets hit from behind, marc savard going after Avery for a cheap hit, guys who really aren't fighters but when that line is crossed, they are gonna do it. Thats where the fighting has a place in the game. Thats why teams used to be nervous playing against the bruins. I miss that.

Better thank lamenting not winning a major championship in the city in 15,000 years.

So to each it's own I suppose.

Couldn't agree more. The Bruins now have ONE guy that fits that mold #54. But maybe Belesky is that player too

I see K. Miller as that kind of player as well
